I could plug the ethernet cable to see if that works I guess, but I may have to change a few settings over wouldn't I?  I think that could be more of a tomorrow morning job rather than a late night one Cheesy

Disable your laptops wireless, plug it in. Should work staight away (assuming the LAN connection isn't disabled, usually isn't).

Good question. Got me stumped.

Next things I would try:

Reboot the router.
Start to look at the DNS settings, log files etc. on the router. What make is it? Who is your ISP?
