After 128 years they were wound up today and will be no more.

I feel sorry for any club going out of business and think a lot of the money in the English game should be filtered down to lower league/non-league clubs.

However they had a Million pounds worth of debts, how can a non-league club be allowed to get in such debt in the first place.

Probably because they were in debt when they were relegated from the football league, then they were relegated from the conference - they are hardly going to get themselves out of trouble attracting huge gates in the Conference North, nor will they receive any money from TV rights that far down the footballing pyramid.

The only time I remember anything about Scarborough is when a Wolves fan fell through their roof.

V Sad. To see a club just die like that. I feel for all the local fans. They must be so crushed.

Played there before in a friendly for Tadcaster v Scarborough Juniors.
