gmail.com

Get yourself a gmail account.  I know that in gmail (I don't know about hotmail), you can download all the attachments in one go in a zip file.

If you haven't got a gmail account, PM me your email address and I'll send you an invite.

Not sure why you can't forward the email to your gmail address.  What's happening when you try?

Must admit, I don't use Hotmail, so I'm a bit blind on that one.  One thing you can do is set up your email client (outlook express, etc.) to access your hotmail via POP3.  Not sure if this is something you can only do on their premium service or not though.  If you can access your hotmail via POP3, then you'd be able to download the email and all the attachments via the email client - and then you'd have them all on your hard drive.

Of course not.

Cool.  That might be the solution then.  Download your email via an email program on your computer and then the attachments will be downloaded as well.

I don't think setting it up for POP3 access is too difficult.  If you're struggling, ask ifm!

Yeah, but you still have to save them all individually

You might not be able to forward the emails because there is a limit of 1MB (I think) for sending attachments.

Get your mate to upload all the pictures in 1 zip file to a hosting service or webspace, or transfer it over messenger or skype. It's his fault you have this problem, he shouldn't have sent 200 individual email messages like that

Tel; your mate to send you the mucky pics through in smaller  batches.

You can go blind if you look at too many at once.

Hope this helps mate...
