There are several places that say 0% comission on over £5k if you search for 'currency exchange' on google.

With the exchange rate so low though, I would have bought a load of stuff in america. Are you planning on going back anytime soon? Advice given to me was to open a US bank account, if I went out a lot ( I don't thoguh!) not sure how easy it is to do though, but probably easy enough with $15k to open you account with.

Are you in London..then http://www.change-link.co.uk/ might be your best bet. Not an online service but they have a couple of shops in the Victoria area.

Best rates in town.

I did buy a load of stuff there and i did open a bank account, but now my bank balance here is low.The commision isn't the problem,it's finding a decent buy back rate for $ into pound.I think alot of those online sites are for currency exchange via bank transfers, but i have $15k in cash.

See if you can find someone about to fly out to Vegas and swap direct with them.
