Thats a fantastic site, (now book marked) cheers FlyingPig.

The closest match seems to be Georgia Army Flag, but wether this gives a definitive location to the photograph I'm not sure. I'll leave it on the back burner a while, theres thousands to sort & catalogue in this archive, something else may well turn up that gives a further clue.

Many thanks all for your input  thumbs up

It could be regional flag though - eg Hungary is divided into many Cantons (like Switzerland), but I've not managed to find a site with the flags.

Tonji - how'd you get on with the spearmen pic?

Hi Rod,

I never really got a definitive answer on that from the Pitts River museum, there best bet was Sarawak. I've since sold it to a Belgian anthropologist.

Tell him we want to know!!! Wink
