your quite right double up  i misread theoriginal post but the point still remains when in this country have you seen someone running a comp give such a penalty

I haven't and this is the reason I rarely play major comps in the uk.  The ppl that run uk poker rooms are generally ill informed about rules that are standard in well run cardrooms the world over.
