So what you are trying to say is that we we are just basically huns that support a football team than wear green hoops an were not sure why ?
I'm sorry but that is a ludicrous statement. You are suggesting that supporting a certian football team gives you the moral high ground over supporters of other teams. Its the same argument I have had to put up with for years from the Trots - that somehow they were better than me because of their politics.
First and foremost we are a football team. a sporting organisation. Despite our roots and charitable beginnings, our club now belongs in the 21st century - and our demanding fans expect us to compete with the likes of manchester utd, ac milan, barcelona etc. We are not going to do that while holding onto some outdated marxist notions.
Look around you - the grandchildren of the poor immigrants this club was formed to help are now the CEOs, managing directors, MPs and MSPs of our time.
I am no socialist - does that mean I am not welcome at your Celtic FC either ?
