It was with eyes wide shut and total vanity that I went to check Sundays result from the G........having got knocked out at 4.45 am in a valiant 4th place I was curious to see who came top out of pepe, pino and Damon........and of course to see my name in the results section which is a joy that for some reason I never seem to tire of...............
Sure enough there is the result
1st Pepe
2nd Pino
3rd Damon
4th Jason Clarke

who??? Jason Clarke....the man who came 3rd in the £500 double chance in Luton in 2006.

Now in researching the name Jason Clarke there are some interesting varieties. There is an ice hockey variety, there is a deeply religious variety, there is a labourer who found £160k worth of old coins when digging a drainage ditch in Gloucestershire. Then there was the Jason Clarke the actor who played Constable Riggs in Rabbit Proof Fence in 2001. There is the Jason Clarke who works for the Halifax. There is the Jason Clarke who plays for the Steeple Morden Reserves team.

But to all you Jason Clarkes...........Phil Cooklin finished fourth on Sunday and yes I know it was purely an administrative error at the G.

I finished 7th a few weeks back at Luton and it was credited to Rochelle Butters. Tho in this case it was an easy mistake to make as we do look very similar!!!!! Almost identical in fact.
