I thought it would be a good idea to post as I did not personally play in Rob's Sat tonight I had someone play for me.
I run a pub and after registering this afternoon was let down by a member of staff. I phoned round the rest offering incentives , double time ect.. but could get noone to cover. I then asked one of my mates if he wanted to play an dhe said he would. I had a think and decided to ask Rob if it was ok cos I wasn't sure. I PM'd him and asked if my friend could play or would he prefer me to withdraw. Rob replied that it was fine so my friend played and won.
I hope this has cleared up any possible misunderstanding . Rest assured zxcvbn002 has now returned to fish  status.

If Rob agreed then I don't see a problem.

Glad to see that you're playing at Rob's though and not your friend.

Good luck, son.  thumbs up

I think the nature of internet poker is that anybody can have for example a room full of mates advising them how to play and as there cannot be any controls against this it is a perfectly OK part of the game. If say you're playing exclusive on stars you could be playing Noah, Marcel or half a dozen of the best players in the world sitting down playing together. So in that respect I have no complaints especially as Rob OKed it and it's Rob's comp so he can do what he likes.

I am slightly disappointed that we weren't told though especially when it got heads up. I played (and to be honest I think I outplayed) jezza in the first Blonde heads up tourney so I thought I knew his game. Half way through blowing a 10/1 chip lead I find out it's not jezza that I'm playing.

I was comprehensively outplayed however so (after kicking the cat a few times) I will try to be positive and learn some lessons from this.

Good luck at Rob's house

I have to agree with your points byron. I especially agree with the point you make about our prior meeting in the heads up comp. All I can do at this point is apologise and say that I would never knowingly put a player to an unfair disadvantage. I should have stated that I was not playing and there was someone playing under my name proir to the start of the comp. I did not think it through and did not expect this situation to occur.
Again my apologies.

Seems to me to be a genuine misunderstanding. Jezza/Jeremy has been totally hionest, explained it, & apologised.

One can ask no more. Byron's point IS Valid, but life's a bit cruel sometimes, & poker can be a little bit itrritating too.

Jezza called me to ask if it was okay if his mate played on his behalf if he had to go to wrk. i said this was okay ONLY if it was Jezza who played the main event if his frend won it for him. I did not see a problem with this because:

1. I could not prove it anyway

2. It was very honest of Jezza to tell me in the first place

3. There was no rule to say otherwise, as obviously it could not be policed.

Hope this is okay.
