WOW..anyone watching the mansfield middlesborough game?

How Huth didn't get a straight red is beyond me..and a few minutes later Cattermole gets away with a nasty challenge...Atleast the premierleague side gets protected, eh?

I had a discussion with a decent level ref a few years back. Have to say I think similar thoughts about the Champions League after the discussion with him.

For example how can a CL final be reffed by a guy from Romania who refs in a terrible league?

Thought the Huth challenge was a yellow.   Looked worse than it was.  But I do wonder what would have happened if it had been the other way round.

Mansfield deserve to be level.

International football is full of political compromises and yes the ref of the champs league final should ideally be reffing in one of the top european leagues but alas this is never going to happen when Michel/Sepp need votes to keep them in power.

a yellow?...he followed through on the man with a straight leg to the mid rif and knew exactly what he was doing...how is that not a straight red?

A Mansfield player would have been sent off

He kicked the ball and his momentum carried him forward, and the Mansfield player's momentum took him into Huth.  Yes, it looked like Huth followed through with his leg in the replay, but he can't just magic his leg and his momentum somewhere else.

I wouldn't have lost any sleep if a red had been given to your fellow countryman though.
