Playing live yesterday, 7500 starting chips, blinds at 25/50 - we're 6 hands in. I'm in the BB and I pick up pocket Aces, both red.  I don't have much of a read of the players around the table although the chap UT + 3 looks a bit of a rogue. Not much has happened so far. I haven't been in a pot yet .. so there has been no chance of anyone picking up my tendency to shake whenever I'm in a hand - if I'm bluffing or strong my shaking is more or less controlled to the same milimeter wave level so I don't think my table image has come under serious scrutiny at this point.

Anyway, action moves around the table - I try to look as weak as possible - I even placed my foot under someone's chair, let them crunch down on it and then apologised as though it was my fault. A valet put three sugars in my tea and even though I hate sugar I still thanked her, gave a fiver tip and then bemoaned my luck for a while. I called the TD over and asked if the Golf on the TV's could be changed over to Dancing on Ice.

Anyway, back to the hand - they all fold and I get a walk. 75 up after 6 hands and I thought I was in good shape but this hand begs a few questions:

a) Was there anything else I could have done to look weaker to induce a semi bluff from the table ?

b) Would I have been better off looking strong - ie show my tattoos and then punch the UTG player upside his head ?

c) When they all passed around to me - was it good advertising to show my pocket rocket, and the Aces, or should I have just tapped the table and said 'good fold'.

d) Was it wrong to say 'ship it' on winning the hand - it didn't seem to help me later as they all started to pick on me and take my chips

e) When  it got to UTG +1 should I have loudly 'checked' and thumped the table out of turn ?

f) Was it a mistake to put a chip over my cards, even though there was no chance the dealer was likely to muck my cards accidentally - I was in seat 6. Would a 100 chip have worked better ?

g) If you were in seat 7 or 8 would you play this differently ?

Anyway, I know it's alot of questions but would really value opinions as to how I could have played this better to get more value - I know I 'took it down' quite comfortably but I can't help feeling I didn't maximise my returns

imo you have played this terribly, I think stroking your face in a kinda nervous fashion would have got a steal attempt from the button, next time you could also try crying like a small child as the action starts.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
