I don't think there 's anything wrong with how you played it (may tempt him to go with draw), nor a shove (may tempt him into thinking you have draw). Either way, good chance of him getting it with a fair amount of weaker hands. If he has the set, swallow it up as you said. Getting to the turn would be a mistake in my position, especially out of position.
