I would tend to fold here.

I assume he's got something here, but what. A draw is unlikely here because hes not calling 8 blinds with T8. Also Felix has - so hes not got nut flush draw. Maybe JJ,TT or 77.

The only reason I'm not folding is if there's any history between the two or history of big bluffs from Tronna.

Im getting it in here.

Reasons being. Is Tronna really going to make this bet with hand better than TPTK and not check it over to the original raisor in a bvb battle. Much more likely he has 9x, 7x, a draw or complete air imo. Our relative hand strength is alot stronger here as this is a bvb battle. I has top pair top kicker.

Push. He's shown no strength preflop, you've got top pair top kicker, there are draws aplenty. Short-stacks tend to check-raise a c-bettor if they hit more than top pair. You've even got the backdoor nut flush draw. I don't understand why you'd consider folding, what are we hoping to hit?

I can see why this would tilt you. What's the point in playing A9o if you're going to abandon a 9-high flop so easily in a blind vs blind pot.

If sb has you beat, why the hell is he overbetting pot into the pre-flop aggressor. If that's the way he gets value then he's won my money. ship ship ship.

Where is this other forum? I want to read the case for the defence.

I often raise pre flop with mediocre aces with the intention of folding to ridic overbets if I hit tptk.

I also like to show it so that my oppos think I'm a tool.

Metagame ftw!!!!

I get my money in the middle here in a heartbeat. Its rare he is ever showing up with pocket tens or better here. A weak flush draw is very likely and we obv have a blocker to that, and if he has 9-2, 7-2 or a set then good for him, but he doesnt.

More than anything Im getting it in cos he is a dirty fucking half stacker and im calling him out of spite, plus we have an ace in our hand and as you know, nothing beats that.

Plus its NL20, im prob not folding any top pair to anyone.

Paragraphs 2 and 3 were exactly what I was thinking. I hate half sackers and short stackers in cash games. They ruin the whole complexion of the game
