Well I never. Ding is the jolly.

Is that kidz or grinder speak?

Neither. It's old Skool betting terminology.

Take a guess at it's meaning.

They'll back me for being a good sport but will be surprised bloody amazed and very happy if i actually manage to pull it off?

No, if that were true, you'd be one of the rags.

The rate the snow is falling I may not be even going - it's a winter wonderland in Northampton!

Yes, I am watching train departure boards with increasing sadness.

Stupid snow.

After all my apprehension about the journey, once I got on the delayed train, it took me just 2hr 20min to get from Euston to inside my room at the Village hotel. Not only that, but connecting train heaven meant I only spent about 90 seconds in Birmingham New Street station, which is a result. As is my hotel room having free wi-fi plus sky sports on the telly which means I can watch the cricket.

Translation  "My train journey lasted longer than I will last in the APAT tourney".

Good Call Andrew, you are getting down with your Railway Station Ratings now.

Birmingham New Street is Network Rail's answer to Luton Airport - it sucks. Dark, dingy, poor train viewing choice, (so many of Wooly Jumper's Plastic Trains), bare concrete, no platform furniture, lacks character. In fact, you run bad, because Euston sucks, too.

I plan to arrive at The Village at around 11am Saturday, to prepare for the big day, & hook up with Central Command (Des & Tighty) - mine's a pot of tea, please.

See you there.

Free wifi at the Village? Sweet, that's one question answered.

See you in the morning Smiley

Ah yes - just remembered Andrew T told me he was looking forward to a lie in on Saturday morning.
To help me in my quest in beating him at poker tomorrow I'm suggesting a series of phone calls and knocks at his door starting from 6am.
