Hi all

Without Dave or any other top players in Paris i am having a field day , following on from my 2nd in the Pot Limit Omaha last Tuesday in Amsterdam out of 246 runners , i came to Paris and entered the €300 No Limit , at 7am yesterday morning i came 4th of 183 , i got up at 2.30pm and as they have a Best Player award decided to play the €30 No Limit progressive ( see my blog for explanation of how it works ) anyway 201 entries , i join after dinner break at 12am and at 7.10am i win it .

I am now leading the best player but all through the final i was working out how many ranking points i was getting to add to the 2080 i have had this last week , when i won i thought i was getting 1200 , i got home only to find it isn't ranked lol.

With 3 more events to go my goal now is at least one more final to lock up the Best Player .

Shattered but happy

Thought i would share this with you

Just spoke to Jon Shoreman , although on the site it says entry from 1 - 399 for first level , there is a disclaimer saying €100 minimum entry later .

Never mind , 3 finals in last 6 comps is pretty good , hope i can keep it up in St Kitts next week .

Good luck in the €1000 Simon, you will have to do without my chips this time.

Glad to say no one here got close in the last two events so i won the Best Overall Player as well , got another plane , a Spitfire to go with the one from Wednesday and $750 .

While i was there seeing if anyone could beat me i played cash , one hand was hi-lo Omaha and on the turn i was all in for €2000 , this is the flop

two hearts , turn  , my hand was          so i had flopped top set , turned the second nut flush draw and second nut low , i check raised all in , river was a 3 giving me nut nut , how much did i win ?

I split the blinds ! On the turn matey boy as TK would say had me by the proverbials , he had  Asp        for nut nut with the nut flush draw , i needed the board to pair or a 3 for a split !

I played for 7 hours and dropped a lump , then i moved tables and got it back and more on the first hand , i called a raise with 44 , flop was A Q 4 , i led out for 420 and the raiser flat called , turn was a K , i bet 1260 and he reraised me all in for 3500 , i called , river a blank , he had AQ !

I think i'll stick to tournaments .

simon make the most of this year and next for collecting your ranking points, having won my first points this week i am thristing for more and might make a rush for glory in 2007 (if i get a passport, and some wings to get me up the many flights of stairs i might run into) infact i noticed in the PL omaha rankings this year i am now level in points with the impressive, the great, the one the only carlo

so gentlemen the time of the easy run for ranking point winner is nearing and end the fish are fighting back

Congrats to you both Aces and Ironside

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
