i am speechless....

Apple are spending a small fortune in a prime time advertising campaign to boast about the fact that you can now cut and paste text in the latest greatest iphone. This is a function you can do with a 25 year old computer and operating system.

is the iphone the greatest con-trick ever pulled ?

up until this edition...

can you cut and paste ? no
can you forward texts ? no
can you send pic messages ? no
does it do push email ? no

and of course stock answer #188 - there is an app to do that....

apparantly soon there will be an app that will allow you to make phone calls on it  Grin

You can make calls, as long as your battery isn't dead.

But wait! You can now shoot video on the Iphone too!

Yes, you are paying $$$ towards the marketing of the Iphone, rather than the features of the product. So much cheaper to get the funcionality and more, on another phone that just doesn't say 'Iphone' on it.

Granted, they do have a fantastic Apps store, where you can buy the latest nifty gizmos

...that you can download for free for most other smartphones anyway...
