My girlfriends laptop and my desktop both use the same internet connection, would the IP address that shows up on a poker rooms records be different for each device (I know they would be able to detect when 2 accounts are at the same address).

She wants to play poker on my computer, but Im scared the internets police will get me so Ive told her to play on her laptop, lol.

Don't know what it's like over there, but I can't play at the same table with anyone living in the AREA (never mind the same house) as they show us all using the same ip address for some reason.

I thought the IP address was to do with the connection(i.e its on the router) and not individual devices so would be the same on both laptops?? not entirely sure tho

I thought if it was the same connection, you'd get the same IP address.

You have different private IP addresses (that's how the router knows where to send stuff to) but the public IP address, that the website sees, is that of your router.

Check them both here
