With one slight exception (as discussed elsewhere) this tourney has to be the best monthly or regular event in the country.
Congrats to Rob and his team on a great job..long may it continue.

The tournament was wll organised except for the problems at the begining which were unforeseen as so many turned up. Also running the £50 comp only 1 hour later exacerbated the problem. However Simon and the DTD people have always reacted to improve things so next time will be ok. Perhaps starting the £300 earlier or opening earlier for registration. The £50 comp should be run as regulars would be disappointed if it wasnt. Thanks to the people who stood in as dealers they did a good job.

This is definately something to look forward to each month - the satellites are a great idea both online and live (I dont think any were undersold online, so perhaps there is scope for more- I know monday and tuesday are the only days DTD is not open but could put a minimum number of runners on other days).

On the ruling on the "mucked cards" affair, the tournament director has to make a decision on the spot ( a bit like a referee at football). He didnt see it happen and gets several verbal accounts simultaneously from excited people - there are no action replays. Not an easy call .

The atmosphere was great the structure is as good as you can get.

Players should attempt to enter online if they dont want to queue next time.

On the question of doing deals - previously at DTD it was chip counts only but this was changed and I think correctly - if you have played for 2 days and feel that for whatever reason a deal feels right and everyone still playing agrees then it should be allowed.  What shouldn't happen is undue pressure on one player who dosn't want to deal and non players should not get involved.

Amazing tournament, and they did the best they could. It was either selfdeal or tell everyone to go home. There is no way they could have expected nearly 300 players!

I think they could defo run 2 live satellites also.

Registering online is definately the way forward.

Deals are definately a good thing, I dont mind chip counts, but at the end of the day its their money and if everyone agrees they can do what they like with it!

Finally Mr Forrester are you the guy I was talking to during the final break of day 1 about laptops and my drunkeness?? Lol
