You posed 4 questions, here are your answers, firstly management did not know about your nottm team playing blackpool and who gets to play in the team anyway or is it just open to your friends. Secondly the recruitment of gaming staff is not easy but every effort is being made.Thirdly start times are being looked into as it has a an impact on other departments within the casino structure and finally as for 425 covering the final, Tikay has been spoken to about the situation. So i hope this answers your questions. I await your reply on here or in person.

None of my business i know, but hey, post on an open forum and I will take my chance.

Phoenix,
As someone who has never played in Notts before, I cant comment on how the cardroom is run, nor can i comment on tourny structures as i havent played one at Notts.
What I can comment on is that when in Blackpool, and before the trip, on this very forum, The Notts boys were rightly proud of their "home" venue and let everyone know as such. Even when accepting the trophy they announced that it was a victory for Nottingham casino. The team  that came from Notts were i believe made up from the Notts contingent that made the trip to blackpool, and yes they were probably all Malc.M's mates, cos we are a friendly bunch us poker players.

What I can also comment on is the underlying tone of attitude in your post, I respectfully suggest that perhaps you have a look at the way you respond to criticism, failing that perhaps you should ask the charm school for a refund.

Hi Pheonix
Thank you for replying here on this forum.

I am glad you share my aspirations for the Nottingham Gala becoming remaining one of the best Poker venues around-

It has a lot going for it not least the enthusiasm and comittment of the Poker room staff and some world class players.

I'll catch up with you in person in due course.

Regards

Welcome to the forum Phoenix.

The Notts Blackpool challenge was covered on this very forum for weeks in advance, and i know the player sup here in Blackpool talked about not much else in the build up. Although it is known that not all Cardroom Supervisors use theses forums to teh same effect as myself and Yogi. Its a great way to get word out on your comps etc and in fairness the NOtts boys on here do a wonderful job of promoting Notts.
I'm sure if you did a search through the forum that Nottingham would have got more coverage thatn any other cardroom.

Oh an personally i thought the team Notts played in the challenge was top notch and some thought did actually go into it.
