Im in the camp of a bet is a bet tho.
Exactly, ty!
If it had been 2-0 the other and gamble beaten would they have reimbursed punters their money? now they're crying and not paying out, mugs.
Bookmakers are pissing me off lately, look at paddy power, pay'd out on boris becoming mayor early the doughnuts in the media love it, lets get paddy power on the program, paddy power loving it!!! you cant buy that publicity, national tv, prime time.
If i was the interviewer i'd of said: "and can you just confirm for us what your liability on Boris was"?
Then when he didnt answer id of said: "you not answering cos it's about £60 probably you bookmaker scum prick"!! then i'd bash him over the head with microphone on live t.v, then i'd turn around, look at kaplinsky in the studio and say:"and what bitch? thats how i roll"!

lol, now that would be worth seeing.
You make a good point tho its free publicity on a minor market and holding funds from punters on another market that they had chosen to keep betting on even when the signs were that this game wasnt str8. If Accrington win they keep it and if Bury win, well they keep it aswell with the chance to void the bets at a later date.

The same thing happened on Sat with 3 games in IFA 'Northern Ireland league' who had 'nothing to play for, end of season games'. A old friend of mine who played a few games in the league for x got a call from an ex collegue telling him to do the 3 teams Armagh v Glenavon, Donegal Celtic, and x. They went traveling to a few bookies on Sat morning and ended up a few 20k richer. was a nice treble as well.

When I worked for non league side Colne Dynamoes, we had a midwek league game away to Hyde a few days before an FA Vase semi final against Barrow ... Now I knew that we were putting 9 reserves in and we would be seriously thumped by a decent enough side ... Thing is we were miles clear in the league and the bookies had us as odds on favs ... what did i do ?? Well I got my arse down the bookies quicker than Linford Christie on speed and lumped every penny I could get hold of on Hyde to win ... Hyde Half time/Full time ... we lost 5-1 and I made a months wages in one night. The bookie knew I worked for the club, and gave me some right grief when paying me out, but pay me out he did.
Things like this go on week in week out and although it wasnt on a scale of the Accy/Bury game ... Insider information is rife in any sport where gambling is involved, bookies need to quit crying and pay up.

It was the same with a certain famous cricketer who now play`s poker ,(no names ) .
it was his last match before his retirement ,and his team had put a reserve side out ,every one of the team had a small fortune on at big prices ,
when they did an investigation he took the rap for the whole team as he was`nt going to play no more .
they took about 500k of the bookies ,good on em.
