I'm a bit of an Omaha noob but I don't see why we 3-bet OOP with this hand. And even if we do, the 3 bet is far too small...5.5k ish for me.

As for flop, we have top pair, a gutshot straight draw and an average flush draw at best. We have 3 outs that guarantee to give us the best hand IF the flush doesn't come. An A does give us a better 2 pair, but could give oppo the straight so I wouldn't be searching for that.

I would play it this way - call preflop, lead out and if we're raised, toss it.

You're not deep though. You've only got 30bbs.

If he repots it pre, which is what I would do this short with his hand what do you do? If you're committing then fine, if not then your raise pre is very dangerous and wasting chips.

As played you've got to get it in on this flop. If your flush draw's not good it's likely that your made hand with the Q is.

If your Q isn't good you got 2 pair outs.

If you're up against a set and a bigger flush draw then unlucky, he got you with a monster.

I personally call this pre. If oppo likes to c bet I check to him then raise the pot when he leads. With a bit of luck he's got an overpair and can't lay it down or he's got a bigger flush draw. If he's got spades as well as a pair we're fooked but that's just meh.

If he's not aggro I lead pot and don't care what he does as I'm now committed.

Raise more pre or flat pre...both are fine for me.

On the flop you get it in if you only have 30BBs

If you're doing that on this flop you should be passing pre.

No need to rr pre here. You are OOP and he can call your small reraise profitably - you have to value your tournament life a bit! As played you now have to go broke.

i managed to get to the 1st money place as it only payed 6 places i would rather try to win this pot and take a shot at 1st place rather than scrape the money as the big stack was winnin 90% of the pots...i think foldin the flop is weak as we have a good shot at winnin the tourny if we win this 40k pot .....right or wrong ?

Noone says fold the flop though, no? It's more about re-raising pre that peopledon't like.
