Does anyone know what the poker room rate at the Venetian should be in late Nov/early Dec approx?  Also how many hours do you have to play to qualify and would buying in to their noon tourney each day be enough to qualify for the rate?  We're more likely to play the tournies there than the cash games.

We've actually booked the Mirage and got a great deal, but we've just found out that they've recently introduced a daily resort fee of $15 per day, which is going to add another $150 to our stay.  Bearing in mind we'll be playing at the Venetian most days, we thought we might as well stay there!

Thanks in advance

Many of the Vegas resort hotels charge a daily fee now for amenities that you might not even use, e.g. access to a notary!, 2 bottles of water in your room and free faxes from the business centre!  Apparently the Venetian have no such fee!

The schedule for the November festival at the Venetian, and at the bottom a few pages down it has a night room rate for Poker players!

I am in the Venetian for the whole of the Deepstack and can't wait!

i know they always stick on $1/night for local phone calls, i think it's mandatory in all hotels in vegas.

$15/night just to use the pool and **** is taking the piss, why not just include it in the price of the room if your customers have no choice but to pay it. I guess it's just so they can advertise lower room rates then grim you with the fees.

First time I ever came across that resort fee bollox was at the Atlantis Hotel in Bahamas at the PCA a couple of years back. I'm pretty used to staying at top end hotels with work, but this place took the piss to a whole new level with the price of just about everything. Then on the last day they threw me the bill with the resort fee on which was probably and extra $200 or so, I'm like WTF is that for? Towels and use of the pool apparently?!?! I didn't even get out of bed before 4pm every day because I was pissed every night, let alone use the pool FFS! When explaining this to the checkout staff and asking for a refund it was a case of GFY buddy, I don't lose my rag too often but that was one occassion.
