played the 2k 6max yesters and ran up chips early but got involved in a big pot vs the laggy young guy on the table. he was 3betting pretty liberally and i found AQ when he had 3b AK, hmm not sure how i feel about it tbh because i can def just find a fold but think thats probs a bit nitty vs this guy.
played the turbo $550 today and the standard was lol bad. people were raise folding out of 4bb stacks and just making some redic tight laydowns button vs blind or even blind vs blind. the comp was a shovefest after about 6 levels but these guys were just consta surprised at me open jamming 10bb eff etc. i had one guy raise fold AKs faceup to my 12bb 3bet shove lol. i was able to maintain my stack and then really apply the pressure approaching the bubble to be one of the bigger stacks when we reached the money. really tho it was just shove or fold poker all the way home. i lost a decent sized pot with KK aipf vs QThh with 12 left which kinda prevented me from being a big stack as the final table soon got under way. i think i shoved 5 of the first 7 hands on the final, much to the disgust of the other players lol but effective stacks were like 4bb-10bb. i lost a small one when 88<TT btn vs sb, then chipped back up to like 16bb before getting my
jam called by JJ and the board bricked. that pot was for the chip lead 7 handed with me having direct position on the only other big stacks (as in 20bb lol) at the table and bearing in mind nobody else at the table really seemed to have any clue, especially about shortstacked play, i let out a big sighhhhhh. was 28k and a ring ftw and i ended up with 3.75k which is pretty depressing ldo.
on a side note i would of made alot more $ had i stayed at home and grinded online comps with toby since he made 3 finals and had an $18k upswing! mbn, wp, fml, iwwil etc etc lol
so thats it. the aussie mirrions is over. i cant help but feel disappointed with the results even though i managed to make two final tables and get 2 aussie flags for the hendon mob. i pretty much bubbled the plo when i had big chips, and the same for the main event which was the biggest letdown of all. i barely played any cash games (but i still lost like 5 buy ins ffs) and excluding the main event i basically broke even on the festival side events with my two cashes + 5% swap with keys on his two cashes. could of and probably should of been writing this with a mirrions ring on or at least a healthy amount of $ in my wallet imo, sighhhhh. maybe save my run good for the wsop??
