OK live local donkament. Buy in is 40 quid. It's fairly early. Blinds are 100/200. I have a stack of around 8k having started with 4. Villian in the big blind has around the same. Most players are poor but villian in this hand is capable, knows what he's doing.

Folds to the button who limps for 200. I make up with 75 spades. Big blind checks.

Flop comes down a rather nice 753 two hearts.

I lead for 300. Big blind makes it 800. Button folds.

I elect to re raise to 1900. Big blind reaches for his stack....

Now this is where I'm a retard- I'm listening to an ipod on not really paying attention and think that the big blnd has moved in. I say call and flip my hand over until the dealer points out he has just called. FUDGE!!!

TD rules that I can only call and not make action as I have exposed my cards.

Turn comes a 5. Everyone laughs. How funny! He obv checks

River is an Ace. He makes a speech about how bad he runs, looks at me. I make a speech about how bad I run for not paying attention. At this point he laughs and shoves!

Now I know people will say snap. But knowing my opponent how often is he actually bluffing here? Surely his balls aint that big???

So what should I do?

Fold.

Pray that oppo shows a bluff and buy him a pint for being awesome. You might also want to do a little chuckle.

A5 is obviously in his range so your mistake may have just saved you your stack.

Haha quality.

I fold. I mean he can't be bluffing. Can he? If he is then fair play, and as matt says buy him a pint for being awesome.

I'm not folding here.

If he has AA, 77 or A5 then fair play to him (he probably does) but in a £40 comp if i was villain I'd shove just for the fact I'd have a good poker story if you folded.

It may just be a fold though - but if you know the player you'll know the answer better than any of us.

If you even vaguely know the player you can better judge whether he can actually do this as a bluff.

oh and pay attention/turn your ipod down. just the ear pieces being in is like the right to ignore people, dont neccessarily need the music on!

Call!

Does he really raise/call the flop with A5? Unless he has A5 hearts, is this combo possible? (i.e. is the ace or a 5 on the board a heart?)

AA,77 a possibility, but this early in the tournament, is he likely to be just checking his option preflop with these hands?

Does sound crazy, that he probably shouldn't be bluffing in this spot, so it's improbable for him to bluff. However, what is he repping that's likely?
