Not posted for a while just wondered what folks views are. Took dog for a walk this morning and came across a woman with 2 Bull mastiffs. I called out as i approached the woman" are they ok", she replyed have a dog with me which i told her i had. " oh ones ok but the big ones not" Shit i thought as our Lola trots out of the bushes to be greeted by the 2 Fucking beasts. They chase her all over the place luckily shes nippy just managing to stay in front. I shouts to the woman get the dogs back because they are going to kill her, to which she replys "shut your fucking mouth or i'll shut it for you" i tell her to shut the fuck up and just get her dogs back, which she could'nt. I ended up calling my dog over and we both legged it. Wife reckons i should report it to the police, my view is the dogs should'nt be let off if she could'nt call them back. As for the verbal shes untouchable, my brother says i should have cracked her, well i've never hit a woman and deffinately not one with 2 fucking Bull mastiffs.

Pretty difficult situation, I have a GSD so really try to avoid any conflict at all. Whilst my dog not aggessive, when she is confronted she will defend her self in the only way she knows how. Due to this as well as some good advice I got when we first got her I try to keep her with me at all times, unless I can see that there is nobody else around and then she can run ahead/stay behind a bit.
The problem is you can't control other people and therefore better to avoid situations such as this if possible. I lost control of billie once when it was dark and i thought the park was empty, she ran over to some runners and upset them quite a bit. Since then i've been even more cautious.
As played, give her a slap?

Suggestions you should hit the woman are quite ridiculous and very worrying. Instead you should simply take a knife from the kitchen table whenever you walk the dog. You can use it to threaten people who get in your way without resorting to mindless violence. In this example you could pull the blade and start cussing and you will see how quickly the bitch drops her attitude problem. If the dogs want some then no problem. Remember it's better to have a knife and not need one than need a knife and not have one.

Red dog- had to read that twice, funny. Phoned cops today they seemed genuinley concerned. Said if i wanted to take it further report it as threatning behaviour. Not really what i wanted so told them i just wanted to report it. Mantis- you should write for Viz.
