HERO ....               Call or raise?

I'm certainly not folding and if I'm up against a bigger set then so be it. But do I get called by worse if i raise here?

Or def the turn, think a call suffices...

You're absolutely right!

But it felt wrong somehow. There's a raise pre and I've got bet/call in front of me...

Why have you just flat called all the way?? You dont know where you are in the hand or if you are winning,    just call IMO

You're in position here, and I'd be raising the flop with the action that's gone before, and if you want to check to maybe disguise your strength then you should definitely be raising the turn.

When the flop comes like that, you have to be looking at building the pot in order to win the maximum from the hand.  If you don't, you're not going to be winning enough to justify set-mining in the first place.  If you're behind to a bigger set, then it's a cooler.

As played, call the river.

Ingekoshmidda has a pair of tens.

Hagant26 has

Should've raised flop and turn to boost the pot.

As played just call. You've made a couple of mistakes in the hand already. Don't compound them by putting more chips in than you have to.

Nice reads or were you at the table and just misremembered it?

Ingekoshmidda is face up when he flats the river. Could've been JJ but I suspect he plays QQ+ a lot stronger on the flop and turn. He's gone totally passive here and you need to make notes on him not to get involved if he shows any sign of strength on multiway flops. He's decided that once his raised pot's gone 5 way he's just set mining. He's still got showdown value though so the call makes sense. If this pot had got boosted as you should've make no mistake that this guy was folding his overpair.

Hagant's bet 1/3 of the pot on the flop and similar on the turn. He's hardly in love with his hand and you would expect him to try to boost the pot with a set 3 way. He likes his hand on the flop enough to test it by leading in a multiway pot. He isn't doing that with 33 so you can discount that.

Microstakes rush is about as easy to read as you'll get. Just go by betting patterns. If they bet strong they have it. If they're passive they want a cheap showdown for a reason.

This format is the only one where I will "bet for information". It's not exploitable like in other formats because there's nobody at this level who knows how to exploit it.

Given the reads would you agree that ay decent raise on the flop or the turn gets two folds?

On which basis isn't my only risk in calling that Ingewatsit hits his two-outer?

I'm not saying I played it well, just that the passive route got me the bigger pot. I'm not convinced I get a call if I raise on the river in any event.

the rest of your analysis of Rush matches my experience. But you speak with a greater level of authority than I can muster :-)
