I've a bit of a fancy for "The Great Gonzo" this week, aka Gonzalo Castano-Fernandez, I'm on ew @ 50/1.

I'm also persisting in my belief that David Howell will come back to form after sacking him a few weeks back and have nibbled @ 210.

I've also had a small interest on Carlos Del Moral @ 400, who almost won this event last year before blowing up in the final round.

Hey Ralph,

Someone else mentioned this Del Moral character to me and I had a funky little bet on him EW at 400, cracking bet IMO.

Good luck with these, have nibbled at the other two.

Del Moral seems to be best price 250/1 now - where did you guys get on at 400?

Back on Euro greens from the Asian and Morrocan tourneys so ive taken three at big odds that have good form in warm European countries.

Jonzon did me a huge faviour by being the biggest priced winner I have ever backed when he won in Portugal last year, a better player on these kind of greens than anywhere else and 250 I had to include him.

Miles Tunnicliff isnt really high on my list of winners waiting to happen but he married a Spanish girl many years ago and has lived there ever since, coupled with some of his best fom being in this region and he got a few quid at 350

Last player Ariel Canete won on tour 2 years ago then had injuries and doesnt get in all the events now but he is a good player and showed up well in a tourney a few weeks ago, he has then had 3 awful tourneys on the trot but at 300 he is a better player than a lot at the same price at his best, problem is he might not yet be fully fit.

Will be happy to get a runner at the business end and then maybe trade it from there.

Came painfully close to collecting place-money on Gonzo who finished tied 6th on -11 but he looks so horrific with a putter in his hands facing anything under six feet that I'm going to have give him the dreaded squiggle until he does something about it.

Howell played well this week and was only two shots worse on -9 after bogeying the last for a 66. I was on @ 38 in the BF top 5 market too Sad But encouraging signs and I wouldn't be surprised to see him win soon, so worth keeping tabs on.
