Villain has 480k'ish left?..no chance of you getting all that on this board IMO....very tricky but the check raise on the flop would lead me to bet out...probs call if he comes over the top.

Cry a little bit because you just kinda know what's coming........

Then check call, check call.

Really could do with some more info. Tournament buyin? Have you seen him 3bet before?

With the pot at 410k and you having 444k behind I think that the decision is to shove or to check/fold. Any bet is going to commit you so I probably just shove and if he hit his gutshot, he hit his gutshot.

QT, JT and TT and 9T are the only hands I can really see him having (and if he's not an aggressive 3better you can take that down to just TT). So for the lack of anything to suggest that he's 3betting wide on the button against an UTG+1 open, I don't see the 8 as being a terrible card for us in the sense that we could be beat. The only reason that its bad is that it makes QQ+ less likely to get it all in.

check call for me with no other info to a small bet. If he jams all in probably a fold. You still have plenty of chips to risk all in on a guess with no history.

twas the $200 tourney, iirc he was reasonably aggressive but also didn't need much to get to showdown.

my plan was to raise enough on flop to leave psb to shove most turns but the 8 turn worried me a little. maybe i was just too tired to think straight
