Sorry to shove it in your faces but>>>>>>>>

4th-11th July 2010 is the UK's National Transplant Week

Tragically 3 people will die today, as they do every day, awaiting a life saving organ transplant!.

This is for everyone everywhere to help create a little awareness to ask friends, family, workmates, pupils etc to chat about organ donation and how they feel about it,to hopefully get more people to not just sit and wait but to take action and register as a potential life saving organ donor!

The gap between organ supply and demand is growing, there are not enough organs available.and around 1,000 people are expected to die this year alone while waiting for a transplant. One hundred of these will be children.
An adult liver can save the lives of two children, one organ/tissue donor can save the lives of up to nine people and transform the quality of lives for many many more

Last year UK Transplant transformed into NHS Blood & Transplant and launched the first multi-media organ donation campaign. The TV advert aims to convert people's good intentions about organ donation into action by posing the question "Would you take an organ if you needed one?"
Nearly everyone would!
Statistics show 96% of us would take an organ if we needed it yet only 27% of us have actually joined the organ donor register here in the UK

It only takes a few minutes and could save a life time or more...what are you waiting for?
