To non believers I always compare it to scrabble.

If me or you were to play a shit hot scrabble player over 100 games he would win most of them because he is better than us. We would win some games simply because we got better letters than him. However, he will win in the long run once the number of good letters and bad letters because he is better than us.

That is the best explanation I have thought of, and people seem to mostly get it............
