It was a tremendoyus Heads-Up battle, epic almost. Simon Nowab, no fool at Heads-Up - he was runner-up in The World Heads-Up Event this year - texted me to say it was "a fascinating struggle, the best I have ever watched online", praise indeed.
THAT hand? That's what makes Poker SO much fun. Both of us thought we were trapping the other, & me praying for a card which, if I had but realised, I did NOT wanna hit! Magic stufff, & I was not "hurt" or upset about it one iota - I just laughed to myself - out loud in fact - at the magic of how these things happen in Poker. Some folks see these things as bad beats, but this was not, this was the magic of Poker. Though, strictly speaking, I went in with the best hand - I had the monster 5-3, you had the puny 2-4 - you were a WHOLE spot behind.......
blonde is a lovely place, & I think you will feel at home here. We take our poker seriously, but we handle defeat, & bad beats, with dignity & humour. Almost without exception, EVERY blondeite enjoys seeing their fellow blondes do well - that Railbirding by the blonde Barmy Army happens EVERY night, to ANY blonde who is running well in an onnline comp, & it happens in Live Poker, too. Try & catch one of our Live Updates - you will see what we mean! It is a truly LOVELY feeling to have all those guys cheering you on, & you are one of us now, so your turn will come, I promise. If you run deep in ANY online comp - $2 or $2,000 - put a quick post up "PRO REQUIRED NOW" & they will all be there, cheering you on, Karoake singing, the lot. They are all utterly mad, of course.
The only shame is your comment about my being English.
I'm sorry, ImMrChip, but here is your first......

And here's another....

Now, watch your lip, & remember that we own Scotland. Some HORRENDOUIS forfeits have been paid on blonde by various Scots & English, so be careful what you say.....
Maureen - thanks! xx
