Welcome ImMrChip.

Well done last night - with the blonde Barmy Army in full voice, it must have felt like you against the rest of the world. A terrific game by you Sir, & I applaud you. 4 handed, you were low-stack, 3 handed you were low stack, & I started the Heads-Up with a big lead, too. There were no bad beats, & no excuses, you did me fair & square.

I was, I must say, amused in a black humour kinda way by the hand where the flop came 2-2-4, & I had 5-3, & prayed for an A or 6. My prayers were answered when THE perfect card hit, the A, BINGO! And we merrily shovelled the chips in as fast as we could, & I'm thinking YES, until you turned over 2-4 - I nearly fainted!

The only blot on your record - I gather you are a Scot?.......

Take care mjavascript:moreSmileys();
[more]an. I feel I've made yet another new friend on blonde.

xx

Tony, what a final session that was, back and forth like nobodys business, thought it was never going to end. My favourite hand was your worst, the full house 2's and 4's on the flop, worked out well for me when you made the st8, it's what makes it such a great game, although in this instance I guess you don't think so!!
Have been reading up on you today and pretty impressive reading it made. Your comments are greatly appreciated.
Our paths will cross again sometime, if you don't mention I'm a Scot I won't mention you are English Wink
Take care and good luck

It was a tremendoyus Heads-Up battle, epic almost. Simon Nowab, no fool at Heads-Up - he was runner-up in The World Heads-Up Event this year - texted me to say it was "a fascinating struggle, the best I have ever watched online", praise indeed.

THAT hand? That's what makes Poker SO much fun. Both of us thought we were trapping the other, & me praying for a card which, if I had but realised, I did NOT wanna hit! Magic stufff, & I was not "hurt" or upset about it one iota - I just laughed to myself - out loud in fact - at the magic of how these things happen in Poker. Some folks see these things as bad beats, but this was not, this was the magic of Poker. Though, strictly speaking, I went in with the best hand - I had the monster 5-3, you had the puny 2-4 - you were a WHOLE spot behind.......

blonde is a lovely place, & I think you will feel at home here. We take our poker seriously, but we handle defeat, & bad beats, with dignity & humour. Almost without exception, EVERY blondeite enjoys seeing their fellow blondes do well - that Railbirding by the blonde Barmy Army happens EVERY night, to ANY blonde who is running well in an onnline comp, & it happens in Live Poker, too. Try & catch one of our Live Updates - you will see what we mean! It is a truly LOVELY feeling to have all those guys cheering you on, & you are one of us now, so your turn will come, I promise. If you run deep in ANY online comp - $2 or $2,000 - put a quick post up "PRO REQUIRED NOW" & they will all be there, cheering you on, Karoake singing, the lot. They are all utterly mad, of course.

The only shame is your comment about my being English.

I'm sorry, ImMrChip, but here is your first...... And here's another.... Now, watch your lip, & remember that we own Scotland. Some HORRENDOUIS forfeits have been paid on blonde by various Scots & English, so be careful what you say.....

Maureen - thanks! xx
