Posted this on the Sky forum but not as many PLO players there.  Trying to MOT my game and I think I'm being too aggressive in these spots, or maybe the nuts was just face up and I don't have the odds with one card to come.  Cooler or leak?

Villain is Ian Frazer.  First time I've played him at PLO high online or heads up, this is in the opening dozen hands or so and only know his play by reputation which he has lived up to in the early going.  Effective stack is 256.50

Hero (SB) is dealt

Hero raises to 7.5 total
Villain calls

Flop :
Pot:  15

Villain Check
Hero Bets 9
Villain calls

Turn:
Pot:  33

Villain bets  33
Hero raises 132
Villain All in  (109 effective extra)
Hero calls

nh - You cant b/f the turn and chking it back misses a lot of value

I am right in saying that he's c/r the turn and you have gone all in for 109 on top of his c/r?

a better line IMO is to call and call/fold spade rivers if he jams.

he never has a c/r fold range on the turn, I'd say his range runs pretty close to ours (strong made/draws, occasional dbl draw or blocker hands) so if we ever make him fold OTR then we gain a significant amount of equity.

for example, river's a spade and he chk folds J8/86. It also leaves him in a spot where if he is ever c/r dbl FD with 88or something he MUST jam the river if it bricks.

No he's lead out a pot bet on the turn.  Sorry, Sky don't have accessible HH just yet.

oh right.

yh. call the turn bet imo, there is no benefit to making him fold anything as you have the second nuts with two good re-draws and he might be bluffing a bunch as well

call turn call river imo.

Thanks guys for the replies.

Isn't slowing down with the 2nd nuts and a ton of extensions on a dripping wet board on a HU table against an aggressive opponent losing value?  Or is this a time to pot control and keep missed combo draws in on the river to bluff catch?  In fact is this hand only a bluff catcher to a brick on the river?

well obviously being HU villain tendencies might change your approach in spots like this, but as a general my thoughts without specific reads would be..

Your range OTF is pretty wide to cBet (assuming you dont have ridic nitty Cbet%'s) and his range to c/call ur Cbet is always going to be tighter, he then pots a pretty specific turn, again tightening his range (assuming he has a striaght/massive draw here often) your range to raise the turn is pretty tight (again striaghts, huge draws) so I'd wanna be peeling here with virtually my entire range here 100bb's, sets, flush draws, keep your perceived range wider and make his river bluffs moire profitable.

If you have info/reads that his range to take this line is wider than you'd expect readless OTT then you can start raise/calling stuff here, but id really much prefer it a bit deeper. If you're gonna raise non J8 hands here this is obviously as good a hand as any to have, but we have to have information that he is calling/stacking off on this turn with non a non J8 range or raising here is completely pointless as we crush most non J8 ranges and have the nun bluff catcher vs a polarized turn range

Yup that makes a lot more sense TBH.  Thanks for the breakdown.  Let's say I flat the turn pot bet, the river was  three clubs  I imagine I'll be facing 3/4 to pot bet on the end.  Call or fold?
