I have been struggling with what to do in this sort of spot. I am OOP with a poor AA hand. So I 3-bet preflop, this may be incorrect, I am not sure. Anyway I hit a fairly good flop for my hand but there are two other people in the pot with me. Is this a case for bet out and call a shove? Check?

Sorry if this is a really basic question but it's a spot that has been giving me difficulties recently

Seat 1: ChrissLV ($10.82 in chips)
Seat 2: l3LackJ4ck ($10.26 in chips)
Seat 3: MoCushla1 ($15.70 in chips)
Seat 4: _pippzor_ ($10.12 in chips)
Seat 5: AAroddersAA ($15.17 in chips)
_pippzor_: posts small blind $0.05
AAroddersAA: posts big blind $0.10
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to AAroddersAA [ As ]
ChrissLV: raises $0.20 to $0.30
l3LackJ4ck: folds
MoCushla1: calls $0.30
_pippzor_: folds
AAroddersAA: raises $0.95 to $1.25
ChrissLV: calls $0.95
MoCushla1: calls $0.95

As a complete omaha noob i'd be interested in answers to this one as well!

I'm too scared to post these sorts of hands up myself in fear of being ridiculed and sent to the learning centre.

Position.

This hand is very much oppo dependant.
I almost always flat this pre if I'm going to be OOP against 2+  players. By 3betting pre your hand is pretty much face up (Unless you also do this with hand that aren't aces?)..and it's not like they're suited or have lively kickers that work well together.

As played you have to lead out now, IMO and hope it goes through. You have 2 pair and you have the As so it's pretty likely to get through TBH.

Flat pre - you're pretty much set mining here since the majority of non A high boards you can't stand much heat on

As played I think you have to bet/call but not too sure if thats best. Ask lildave.

I do, do this with hands that are not aces such as rundowns and even suited Kings and Queens. I don't understand why I would want to set mine though. If I hit then don't I end up with a hand that everybody just folds when aggression is shown or just ends up in a coin-flip against a huge draw of some kind. I can make set over set I suppose.

Would it maybe be correct to fold pre here? Although you have the best hand now it is unlikely to be best on the flop and even if it is you won't win much with it? That sounds so bad. This game is very confusing.

Need to spam PHA a few more times after today I think :-(

what Dan said.

you only want to 3b Aces that have things with them ---> some wrap potential, big flush draws or another pair to go with them (AA88).

you basically have almost no fold equity pre flop most of the time so the key is to have hands with big equity edges post flop against their calling ranges (AKs78 is a better hand to be 3betting that rainbow aces for that reason)

edit re. why setmine.... oversetting someone in plo is a huge deal. Also you get lots of profitable action if you hit a set on A67hh and someone overvalues weak draws or are forced to fold on the turn. On dry boards you can let aggro players rep the ace.

oh yh 3betting this all day long, I'd 3bet virtually ANY AA** combo in position, but i'd be pretty selective about which AA** hands I 3bet from the blinds.
