Villian is "risk2Dupside". He's good and is opening very frequently. Seems aware and competent postflop, showing down hands he's opened preflop like T9o but playing them well post.

Pre and flop i think are standard. Thought the turn was a check as i doubt i get more than 2 streets from worse pairs, plus he will probably peel the flop with As x as i expect to look very full of shit there. River felt like a clear value bet...til i got raised.

Any thoughts appreciated as i timebanked quite a bit on this one. Both our lines are weird and i'm not entirely sure i know what he's telling me he has here.

3bet pre, people always spaz out/play terribly in 6m comps.

I think the river is a check. You have very little air in your range when you check back a potentially good barrel card, against a weakish range. I think i'd call now, but in an mtt i think checking the river is likely best. I'd probably 3bet pre as there are no shorties behind, but calling can't be that bad.

Yeah I sigh river too, this whole hand is very weird. After sighing I think I fold.

Once you flat IP pre (which I don't hate, although agree with pleno that people spazz harder in 6m comps) don't raise the flop, you're gonna shut him down with every hand you beat. I don't think he's going to call a flop raise, turn barrel and river shove with AQ unimproved, on any board.

Once you raise the flop, don't hate the check back on this pretty disgusting turn card, although I probably go ahead and bet/fold right there and hope to be able to check back on the river.

would bet the turn after raising flop almost always? we would barrel all our flush draws and sets. think checking back the turn then betting the river makes our hand look like something he can get to fold now lol.

Yeah i agree with that, once i check the turn i shouldn't have any strong hands at all. As played do you think he'll be then turning enough hands into bluffs otr to call the c/r?

i don't think it's just a question of how many hands he'll turn into a bluff, but also how often he'll value bet his good hands with a c/r and not just a bet.
it's pretty awkward.
i don't know what i'd do. probably level myself into calling and then hate myself a little bit more.
