Been a little busy, so apologies for not updating earlier on the Sponsorship situation.

There have been 3 x 3 month deals so far, & the last expired on September 30th.

A 2 month extension was agreed (2, not 3, note....) as & from October 1st until November 30th.

We - Rich Prew, myself, & the Heads of Poker & Marketing @ Sky Poker took place earlier this week, on Thursday. As you know, that's an awkward situation for me, batting for both sides, so to speak.

The Meet seemed to go reasonably well, & a pitch was made for a further 6 month deal effective December 1st. 6 months was thought more practical, it's tough for blonde to work in such short periods, & with such uncertainty as to future funding. In effect, the Sky Poker funding pays Rich Prew's wages, no more, no less, but it is enough to get us by. The monthly Server Costs (£220 per month) are still paid by myself, & one of these days I'd like to find a Sponsor who picks up that tab, but for the moment, it's "as you were".

Rich will be offering some Sky-Poker based promos in the next month, funded by Sky Poker. Essentially, the ongoing deal beyond November 30th depends on the success of those, combined with ongoing play on Sky Poker by those who have already signed up. Many thanks to all of them, by the way, the likes of Cambridge Alex & a few others have been splendid, & we are much indebted to them, & everyone else who has tried to support the Sponsors.

If the deal is not renewed, Rich has a few speculative offers in the pipeline, some of which are on i-poker skins.....given the history, I'm not sure where that will leave me personally, but we'll cross that bridge as & when.

Flushy also brokered an "interesting" proposal a few days ago, & I am chasing that up urgently, though it's a bit of a hot potato & may cause some hoohah here if it happened, but any port in a storm, & all that. I'm hoping to meet the connections in London this coming week.

Because of my personal situation, I really hope the Sky deal continues, but what will be will be.

The whole thing wil be decided by the support, or otherwise, of the blondes, it's that simple really.

For those that have supported it, my thanks.

Hope it works out Tikay. I, along with many others who luck in your diary, signed up for Sky just because I read about the comps and the banter in that thread on here, but that won't be affiliated to blonde because it was before the deal and therefore I just googled the site when your diary made me want to play rather than clicking a link. If u can change any affiliate feel free too and I'll play some comps there...obviously most of my play is at Blue Square still tho Smiley

The price looks very low, though. It'll be fine once that Site Maintenance is finished.

Thanks Jeff.

And there's the crux of it - so many did the same, no doubt because of blonde, & because I've been banging on about Sky Poker for 5 years now, but these sign-ups cannot be reasonably traced back to blonde.

In the same vein, blonde have been responsible for a considerable number - in the hundreds - of re-activates & winback, again, hard to prove the connection. Tighty had laboriously listed them all, it ran to 4 or 5 pages of small font A4.

We had Stu Rutter on the Show last week, he was first class, & we were wholly fine with him wearing his patch - we don't see much crossover between Grosvenor & ourselves - so when are you going to grace us on the Show with your considerable presence?

Was good to see you @ Walsall GUKPT, my first GUKPT for 3 or 4 years, & I loved every moment. I'll play a few more when the Diary allows.
