Poker Stars $4.00+$0.40 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t60/t120 Blinds + t15 - 9 players - View hand 1501240

CO: t7091       M = 22.51
BTN: t17134       M = 54.39
SB: t17943       M = 56.96
BB: t1961       M = 6.23
UTG: t7276       M = 23.10
UTG+1: t6948       M = 22.06
UTG+2: t3596       M = 11.42
MP1: t4389       M = 13.93
Hero (MP2): t12779       M = 40.57

Pre Flop: (t315) Hero is MP2 with J Q
1 fold, UTG+1 calls t120, 2 folds, Hero calls t120, 1 fold, BTN raises to t360, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls t240, Hero calls t240

Flop: (t1395) J T Q (3 players)
UTG+1 bets t360, Hero calls t360, BTN raises to t1597, UTG+1 raises to t6573 all in, Hero Huh??

Button thinks I'm really aggro and I expected him to squeeze quite wide once I call. My plan was to 4bet over his squeeze pre if HU.

Once OR calls (no reads), I kinda have to call getting a trillion to one with a hand that flops well 100BB deep. On the flop, I don't know if calling is correct, given I don't know much about OR or if I should just directly raise for value right there. Again, my plan was to raise if button clicked the flop back and OR folded.

AK can be in ORs range, but I really expect him to 4b OOP, so I don't know how big a part of his range it really is.

As played, is giving up standard?

Background: mixed games cash player learning to play tournaments. first HH posted on blonde. flame away, etc etc.

To start with I'd definitely iso pre, if button wants to get aggro and start raising our iso's then we can start dick waving and 4b etc, but think there is way more value in raising a probably weak range that we can fold to a l/raise then calling and hoping to play oop vs a lagtard.

Hi Mark,

+1 to iso pre, definitely. Much better than limping along then calling a raise oop mulitway, or 4betting the btn which is just weird when you've over limped the cutoff, he'll never give you credit for a big hand. Nice idea to do it WITH a premium though.

You're not 100bb deep effective with anyone, they all have 7k which is bout 60bbs. Just a lil observation. Still not folding the QJ of parsley obv.

Seems like a standard give up now.

I'm obv a complete spazz because I thought that UTG had minned it not limped.

obv would have iso'd if I wasn't a moron.

plus QJ of clubbbbbbbssssssssssss is a premium imo Wink

I folded, which I think is correct and btn snapped it off.

suffice it to say they both got 'don't fold 2pr' notes Wink
