U should never kill a hand imo.

Was the player in question warned?

This shit happens all the time in gala. People don't shut up when multi way in a hand.

Not to single anyone out but I think this ruling has been made because guy in hand is a really important customer. Had the tables been turned I doubt the ruling would be the same.

killing a hand shown or verbally anounced  is deff not the practice in all galas.
last night a player in the tourney at bristol gala shown his hand before calling an all in, was allowed to stand, was told he would be penalised if done again.
later on same player did same thing, no penalty.
on final table a short stack moves in, gets 2 callers , one the same player they then both turned there hands over (with chips in play between 2) saying we will check it down, ruling called both hands still live lol what afarce.

I was there playing cash and saw all that.

Truly awful behaviour from that bloke showing his hands but the players only had themselves to blame for allowing it. If I was on that table I would insist they were dead. The rules are hanging on the bloody wall.

They waited for action to take place ie. flop turn and river then moaned.

If a player announces his hand. Call the floor. Simples. Get floor to check hand if it's what he says it is and he is not all in (like all 3 times yesterday in Bristol) then its dead. Problem occurs when players don't know rules and allow action to take place thus nullifying previous rule.

All way too cosy in Bristol and this leads to too much soft play in small events.

Another belter from gala Bristol 2 weeks ago.

Cash game .50/.50 nlhe

The button was pissed up and played the hand to the river calling all streets with an ace on ace high flop. On showdown his top pair is good but obviously has to show both cards to win pot.

He was only dealt one card as happens occasionally on button and played it for fun factor not letting on.

He was awarded the pot. 1hour of chaos ensued.

His hand is totally invalid obviously but this stuff goes on all the time in there. The floor staff simply don't know the rules and don't seem to want to learn em.

Another reason I like dtd is the consistency and knowledge of floor staff.
