Isn't this remarkable?

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has dodged a driving ban despite being caught by police doing 96mph on a Warwickshire motorway.

Pulis convinced magistrates that handing him a ban would cause hardship to him and the people of Stoke-on-Trent.

Absolute joke.

if his 'chauffeur' excuse was in any way valid, he could simply hire a deaf chauffeur.  Utterly ridiculous, and shows that you can endanger lives and break the law as long as you have money.  It wasn't even as though he was doing 96pmh on a clear motorway - there was a 60mph restriction in place, probably due to roadworks or something else.

96mph doesn't seem that fast.

On the way back from DTD Dave "LeKnave" Jones usually adopts a cruising speed of around 130.

lip reading in the mirror   Cheesy

How about telling him to hire a London taxi with the window separating front and back.........or there must be hundreds of fans that would jump at the job, and keep their mouths shut.

The lawyer deserves a bonus.....incredible angle.

It's nothing to do with the police - they're not debating his guilt, merely the punishment he deserved.

Pulis makes a valid point about the chaffeur. You don't want to be distracted by nosey parkers when you're trying to use the mobile at high speed.

1 tip is if you get caught for drink driving and you know you are well over the limit is to refuse to give a sample
You get a 1 year ban and it's off your licence after 1 year
As opposed to a drink ban which stays for 11 years
Not that I am condoning drink driving there's no need for it get a taxi !
