Kind of a ruling thread

I was at a table at the WSOP, with two highly ranked young internet pros.  It is the ante only comp, so there is a lot of limping going on.

Pro A limps, Pro B raises, Pro A reraises, Pro B 5 bets most of his stack but not it all.

Pro A says call assuming Pro B said all in and flips over AK.  Pro B says "I didn't go all in".  Then he says "I have JJ just go all in bind and I'll call".  This was for a tournament leading stack.

I think at least three rules were broken in this hand, but think what happened was the right result.  FWIW This hand put pro B out.  Nobody at the table called for a ruling, and I congratulated pro B on his sporting behaviour.

They didn't know each other before this table, as one of them had said Hi I am pro B, are you pro A?

Anyway, is this the right result, or do you call the floor?

Its kiiiind of similar to the one that happened in the 50k PC, but kind of not also.

As it was pointed out by B that he wasnt actually all in, its not accepted action that he has moved in. However, they have agreed to get it in blind on the flop. However, this then breaks another rule. Player A has prematurely exposed his holecards, therefore cannot make aggressive action. This means he automatically checks the flop. So therefore Player B can get it in blind before the flop is dealt and Player A can call the bet.

If I was called over after this, Id probably say similar to you tbh. Well rectified and nothing actually that bad in it imo. Seems like a genuine mistake by player A

Common sense prevailed, and good to see the players approach it the right way too. It's the opposite of angle-shooting really.

I guess that the situation could have been exploited by one of the players though.

This gets said a lot. Can someone please show me a reputable ruleset (i.e. not grosvenor or gala) which has this rule.
