Pokerstars announced about 3 years ago they were going to do kyc on all real money accounts and started with Supernovas before moving onto the rest of the playerbase... I guess your account was one of the ones that slipped through the cracks...

As for Skype I get a few attempts a year on there trying to get my pw... what's amusing is that they phone me and the couple of times I actually picked up to fuck with them they couldn't even.speak any English lol

I got this email the other day. The girls fell about laughing. They reckon it's not genuine, but I'm not so sure...

Wow! You are an exquisite looking man. So stunning. You captured my attention.
But then I imagine you have that affect on all women. Would you be interested in
corresponding? If you would like to know more about me, please reply to my
email. Sincerely, Elen

Ask a question direct at stars, you'd be surprised how good scams can be these days.

Umm, sadly, no I would not, especially when it involves e-Mails.......

Hence the question "has anyone else received such an e-Mail from 'Stars recently?"

Try getting your DNS hacked then recieving one of these legit looking emails, the link will look legit too.

btw: Just so you know, I'm not saying this is a "good" scam, but there's a lot of fucking idiots on the internet.

I received same email (small brag- although it was because I finalled 1 of their sunday majors) asking for verification documents because of licensing etc.  My account actually is locked and I sent a few emails to support@pokerstars.com following up on it so I think its safe to say its genuine.  5 days later Im still waiting for them to get back to me though :@ :@ :@

on sundays (other days too but i generally just get it on sundays when alot of tables r going) stars security may ask for you to type a sequence of letters or numbers in the chat box on a  certain table just to check your not a robot.
Also similar to other sites, if your account is inactive for a prolonged period i think they may send a securuity email.
But as said previously in this thread, use HELP, CONTACT SUPPORT on the stars lobby to contact them. They can bring up a chat box on the stars lobby if needed with a member of support.
