Hi everyone dont know what to make of this but i had a strange phone call this morning from none other than some pr guy from  Betfair.
Guy was asking why i hadnt been on the site lately, what other sites i was using and if i would like to take them up on some promotional offers they have today on their site.
He finishes off the conversation by asking if i would like a ' tip ' for today

2.35 Ascot ILE DE RE Currently around 3/1

Make of it what you will , i dont usually back favourites so this wont see my money , however
i thought i would share with the forum , the horse is very well handicapped and the trainer seems to think a lot of the horse from what ive researched since the phone call.

Good luck to those of you who may have a punt : )

This is one of the ten Betfair horses to follow from the Donald McCain Jr profile book that got sent around last week. I forget the name of the trainer...oh no hang on...was it Donald McCain Jr?

Better people than I will confirm, but I think he's a mudlark. Won the Chester Cup, beating Overturn, so a contender in pretty much any field.

Any views on whether it's a good price?

I like CANNINGTON BROOK in the 3.10 at Ascot. Should favour the ground and I can't see it having trouble over course and distance. But I have a largely untrained eye and recognise that there is more to consider than the headline stats. It's about 25-1 on the exchanges.

Any thoughts on it?

FWIW, have backed Ile de Re Cheesy

Ran well. Bit unlucky to have a faller right in front of it in the final straight, although it wasn't going to win.

Was referring to Cannington Brook, but no, not had anything like that.

Have you had one before?
