I'd be interested in peoples opinions on today's game.  Far from a thin post genuinely interested in what more refined gamblers would do in such a situ and as it progressed.

Had backed for £10 Everton, Palace, Bradford and Man Utd.  Winning £116 if they came in.

Going into the Man Utd game, so far so good.  Villa 2-0 up.

A) let it ride
B) back villa (2/5)
C) back the draw (4-1)
D) Back Man utd again (6-1)

More decisions to be made during the game, but for now....

OK, well I backed the draw with 10 at 4-1.

When 2-2, I did another 10 on villa @ 7-1.

Waste of 20 or best to cover each scenario if you can to make sure you winning something?

Is it better to lay the Villa when they went 2-0?

I'm sure in general it's not a smart tactic but united at villa is a special case.

I doubt that £116 is a life-changing amount of money for you, therefore you simply ignore the acca and take the above options in isolation - and decide which is the best value.

Backing villa to win at 2-2 seems like throwing money away

why would you wanna lay? £116 cant be that important if youre having £10 acca's on.
either let it ride or leave out manutd, then decide how much you wanna put on them from your £75ish

Agreed with this in hindsight.

True and never thought of it like that.

Conceded first in 10 games I think it is, won 8

Backed them when they went behind vs Liverpool, Tottenham, Braga at home and again yesterday. Winner on 3 of those 4, and having bottled out of it in the away game vs Braga, will back them blind when they conceded first if there's at least 40 mins left.

Yesterday I backed villa ht united win at 25 on bf, and had some more on utd at 8.8 when it was 2-0.

I reckon both united and city are worth following on this bet. They have the depth to come back from conceding early and can capitalise as the lesser teams run out of steam towards the end. Chelsea too, to a lesser extent.
