These 'wisdom of crowds' things work best if the people choosing have to pick their own answer off the top of their heads - by setting a line you provide an anchor point which destroys the effect.

So it would work best with something like 'How many runs will Alastair Cook score in the series against India?' You provide no options - people have a wide range of numbers they can pick from.

I think it's an interesting idea and well done to Hector for putting it out there. I do agree with Andrew here though.

There are currently 66 Votes, so the bet will be (unless more votes arrive) £66.

The game is not until tomorrow, so I'll leave it a little longer. Remind me tomorrow though, please.

Current odds?

The Collective Massive voted 43-24 in favour of the "OVERS, as had been suggested, so that is the selection, for better or worse.

So, 43 + 24 = 67, = £67 @ 8/11 with Blue Square, OVER 2.5 goals, Chelsea v Liverpool.

I'm not sure what we do if this wins, but let's get the bet home first.

2-1 at Half-Time would give me chance for a pre NFL nap. Just saying.

The Reds team in full is: Jones, Johnson, Enrique, Agger, Wisdom, Carragher, Sahin, Gerrard, Allen, Sterling, Suarez. Subs: Gulacsi, Cole, Assaidi, Henderson, Coates, Downing, Suso.

Skrtel out with a virus, and Rodgers has gone for 5 at the back. Don't know if that affects the bet at all?

Maybe, but it has not stopped them conceding the first.

Just need 2 more now. What price Liverpool scoring them both?

That was very close - both sides could/should have got a second.
