Some people take their work really seriously and it is their entire life. Is it really that hard to understand that someone with depression etc can't be pushed over the edge by being publicly humiliated like this?

Apparently thinking considerately about the person would be a minority opinion on here. People let this comment slide below without a blink.

"Anyone who kills themselves due to a telling off at work has deep seated issues. If it wasn't this it would have been something next week/month"

That statement in the context of the situation makes me shake my head....pretty much a typical throwaway comment with zero substance..Its almost making out its her fault for being fragile or not being able to handle a situation that would put anyone under pressure. So wrong on so many levels. It was just not a telling off at work was it? so tilted..

I don't really understand, the nurse that committed suicide wasn't the one that gave the info out. How would she have got into trouble?

Finding out you read the Daily Mail however would be one of the more surprising news stories of the year.

Camel owns it again.

Just an amazingly sad story. Underlying issues involving all of UK citizens shortcomings too. I get the feeling Cameron will fall on his sword of "We are all in this together" speech. Whether financially or patriotically intended.

In all seriousness I think it would be a good idea to cancel April Fools Day next year as we could have a whole spate of suicides on our hands
