I think JJ is closer than AK, i'd fold AK here I think

Pretty sure AK is better than JJ in this spot. I'd fold both of them without a specific reason/read not to, but if I had to continue with one of them I'd choose AK.

Scared to post this! Blockers and equity when dominated. Really cool thread would like a long detailed explanation. I wouldn't ever flat a big hand here I don't think. Would this be necessary readless. This thread's made me feel a million miles off beating decent stake 6max!

people fold too much vs 3bets, calling ak is good/relatively std with positions
also protects our range enormously.

yeah i think this is pretty obv and agree. i folded anyway, me and stu agreeing on everything in 2013!

yes, sorry obviously I meant the other way around...

AK is closer than JJ and i'd fold AK (prolly) so by the logic i'd also fold JJ (which should be fairly obviously here) if i'm folding JJ i guess i'd also fold QQ....(in theory...)

I know you folded AK, but i am intrigued as to why AK is better than JJ, isn't it likely that in the 4 hands involved there are probably 2 more A's or K's in the hands of the others making your hand so  much worse? How does that fare with the chance of JJ being dominated by QQ-AA? Interesting.

KK+ shove for me, and QQ on the basis of any feel for the table, but as you say readless, I would go off the normal standard of that particular sites' games at that level.

I am a cash newb btw.

AKo has better equity vs QQ+ and AK (about 2% more) and AK also does a lot more to block their value combos whereas JJ doesn't really (3bettor could have JJ, 4bettor unlikely to be 4betting JJ this deep). So if we 5bet jam AKo we should expect to get called less often and have slightly better equity when we do than when we 5bet jam JJ in this same spot. Both AKo and JJ do about the same vs KK+.
