Did anyone watch the Mark King v Barry Hawkins final and King's subsequent interview? The penultimate frame was one of the most thrilling I've ever seen. Excellent stuff and I'm so pleased for Mark.

If you can keep a dry eye during the interview I would be surprised.

Amazing stuff

It was superb wasn't it Tom. The frame at 8-7 when he needed 2 snookers but worked the pink ball to be touching the black ball over the pocket and forcing Hawkins to pot the black for a 7 point foul was fantastic. For someone that then admitted he was absolutely skint a re spotted black at 8-7 with 70k to the winner must have been huge. I wanted Hawkins but pleased for King and that was some winner's interview.

Did you see Anthony Hamilton's interview after his quarter final win? He also admitted he was skint and had to borrow the money to pay for entry fee's. Ronnie was in the box and looked amazed he needed money and offered to lend him some if he ever needed it again. Tho King going thru a list of his failings after finally winning an event with his family all crying was really touching.

Lol. Ronnie said we're not going to get many kids into the game if players keep coming on and saying they are skint.
