I should give a chess one, really.

I'd go for a surprising answer: Vasily Smyslov. He was World Champ 1957-58, but his style was to generate a smooth game. He had an elegance in his endgames (which he was famous for), but his attacks swarmed, with all the pieces working together, like a wave towards the king. I know most don't follow chess, so I shalln't post about him here, other than to say I'd put his beauty above Fischer, Kasparov or Carlsen.

Loved watching this guy  Smiley

Loved that man Woodsey. Met him when i must have been about 9/10 and was always amazed by how small yet built he was. The way he used to step and take off was incredible!

Football - Enzo "The Prince" Francescoli of Uruguay in the late 80s.  A master at stroking the ball down without acheiving too much.

Formula 1 - Jensen Button

Tennis - Fabrice Santoro

Looked even more of an artist in League imo. Would have been an awesome RB in NFL
