The villian in question is really bad so not much respect for his UTG raise to be honest:
Hero:22k
Villian:24k
blinds: 400/800/100
he opens UTG to 1600, I'm UTG+1 with AKo i snap 3-bet without thinking then hated it, Just wondering what the better players do in this spot?? thinking a flat is so much better, people squeeze light behind, also i felt i had such an edge on him post-flop.

Without question I'm 3betting here. If he doesn't have a concept that you should always be strong here then you can most definitely 3bet here. The average player doesn't 3bet squeeze light and given the fact you'll be flatting off 27bb's UTG+1 will be show decent strength and deter 3bettors.

I just 3bet here and expect UTG to peel most of his range and then you can just play in position with a good hand = simplez.

Okay another point in the hand i 3-bet to 5200 (raise size?) he peeled then donked 8500 into 12000 on a J44 flop?

5200 is massive but if you can get away with it it's fine. The reason why it's massive is because it makes you even more polarised to really strong hands.

In these scenarios where it's a 2x open off shallow stacks I usually go 4-4.5x IP and 5x OOP.

Pretty hilar that he's just bet huge on the flop, he probably has 88 or something and just wants to go with his hand. Be grateful he didn't check raise you and cost you more money. Just fold now.
