I just saw an advert which informed me that "76% of 110 women agreed".

How the hell do I work out what actual percentage that is?

Ridiculous way of getting the post count up.

PS. It's way more daft when 52% of 36 women agree that their hair is four times more lustrous than it was before they used New Ladies Shampoo with Pro-Hairinol B7. Literally everything in that makes me annoyed.

surely 110 * 0.76 is the standard way?

edit: oh I see coz it's rounded you've gone that way to work it out
