I saw this

http://calvinayre.com/2014/04/15/poker/life-outside-of-poker-rupert-elder-cafe-owner/

and good luck to Rupert, who posts/posted on here

he follows on from James Akenhead and Sam Holden in moving on to other things

of course all three, you would assume, have the funds to give them the flexibility to start anew, which is important

do you think this says anything about the modern poker market, and if so, what?

I don't think it says much about the current poker market, no.

It does suggest they want more from life than poker, day after day. All three are intelligent chaps, & are perhaps looking for better life balance.

Poker is a wonderful game, but it's incredibly addictive, & can mess with our character, & ability to interact normally with others.

Good luck to them.

I had assumed Rupert would start a shop selling stylish jumpers, to be honest.
